The Irish Government is committed to providing services to assist people with disabilities to find employment.  They provide a range of mainstream (programmes and services that everyone can access to assist them to find a job) and specialist programmes (programmes for people with disabilities to assist them to find a job) as well as providing assistance to employers.

Employment Offices

The Department for Employment and Learning (DEL - www.delni.gov.uk) is responsible for employability programmes to assist unemployed and economically inactive people (individuals on benefits such as Incapacity Benefit and Employment and Support Allowance)  to enter and or maintain employment.  These programmes are available across Northern Ireland through a network of 35 Job and Benefits Offices /Job Centres and are delivered by the community and voluntary and/or private sector.
