This past year both IASE & NIUSE celebrated 20 years of promoting and developing supported employment for people with disabilities throughout the Island of Ireland.
To mark this significant milestone the two organisations came together for the second time to host a joint conference in Belfast.
This joint conference offered members north and south, old and new a strong programme of keynote speakers and workshops, reflecting a wide range of topics and issues relevant to supported employment practitioners, educators and employment service providers working with marginalised groups.
The theme of the conference was “Creating the Future for Supported Employment” promoting collaboration, ingenuity and resourcefulness in challenging times. It is intended so delegates would have an opportunity to network with a wide variety of organisations and interested parties to discuss issues and topics to assist them improve service delivery keeping core values of the supported employment process firmly on the agenda.
