Annual Equality Mainstreaming Conference - 14th October 2014 - Dublin Castle
The Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission Designate is announcing its Annual Equality Mainstreaming Conference on October 14th 2014 in Dublin Castle (from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm).
The title of the conference is: "Think Equality, Act Equality". The conference will showcase and share good practice in equality mainstreaming approaches that have been applied in the further education and training sector and within organisations responsible for delivering active labour market programmes. The conference will also showcase projects that have been funded to stimulate workplaces to take action on equality and to encourage employers to be planned and systematic in their approaches to workplace equality.
The conference will present examples of effective partnership approaches between service providers, employers, trade unions and NGOs in challenging discrimination and accommodating diversity in the workplace. The conference is aimed at practitioners and policy makers in further education & training, labour market programmes and at all those who work in educational practice, policy, advocacy or in NGOs with an interest in equality and diversity.
The conference will be opened by Mr Aodhán Ó Ríordáin TD, Minister of State for Equality, New Communities & Culture and Ms Emily Logan, Chief Commissioner Designate, Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission Designate.
